Joel Feder, interactive content manager for The Car Connection recently had an interesting experience with virtual reality and cars. Joel had the chance to visit Cadillac and take a virtual tour of the Cadillac XT5 inside a VR headset. It seems like only a matter of time before every automaker has a dedicated site or app to view their cars inside of a virtual reality environment.
Being able to sit inside or walk around the outside of a vehicle in VR just seems like a cooler way to shop, a much more immersive experience will only garnish buyers attention and interest, now a showroom is one thing, but what about taking that car for a test drive in VR? That’s something we’ll have to wait for, fingers crossed…
