A recent Washington Post article from Peter Holley shows real potential with vr as a technology in the healthcare field. In this case, two conjoined newborn sisters in Minnesota with a condition known as thoraco-omphalopagus had their lives saved after a dangerous nine-hour procedure. Doctors were able to use vr glasses to study the twins hearts in a virtual environment and gather details from the in-depth 3D model including leads into one of the twins hearts being more reliant on the others.
