Beat Saber's Hip Hop Mixtape 2 Runs $10.96 for Eight Tracks

Eight tracks, $10.96 as a bundle. Hip Hop Mixtape 2 landed on Steam on August 27 inside Beat Saber update v1.45.0. Bought one song at a time, the same eight run $15.92. Steam marks the bundle at 31 percent off.

The lineup is chart rap, mostly recent. Kendrick Lamar, "tv off" (feat. Lefty Gunplay). Lil Nas X and Jack Harlow, "INDUSTRY BABY." Doja Cat, "Kiss Me More" (feat. SZA). JID, "Surround Sound" (feat. 21 Savage and Baby Tate). Lil Wayne, "6 Foot 7 Foot" (feat. Cory Gunz). Cardi B, "I Like It" (with Bad Bunny and J Balvin). Doechii, "NISSAN ALTIMA." Tommy Richman, "MILLION DOLLAR BABY." Each one also sells on its own for $1.99.

Kendrick Lamar was already in the catalog. "Not Like Us" went up as a $1.99 single in February 2025.

The add-on math after the price cut

Beat Saber lists at $19.99. Meta announced that price on August 11. VR.org reported at the time that it was the game's first permanent cut, down from $29.99, and that the paid catalog did not move with it. Tracks stayed at $1.99 each. That piece closed on the gap between the price of the door and the price of the shelf.

This is the first pack to price into that gap. $10.96 is 55 percent of the game. Buy the eight singly instead and $15.92 is 80 percent of it. Two packs this size cost more than Beat Saber does.

Steam puts both numbers on one page. The bundle reads $10.96 final, with the price of individual products printed underneath at $15.92.

There is a starter bundle as well. Beat Saber + Hip Hop Mixtape 2 is $27.99, against $35.91 for the game and the eight tracks bought apart, which Steam marks at 22 percent off. It is the cheaper way in for anyone who does not own the game yet, and it is one of the two options the announcement points at.

The line under the tracklist

Beat Games' release notes carry two entries under Added. Eight new tracks is the first. A new Hip Hop Mixtape 2 Environment is the second.

The rest of v1.45.0 is level editor housekeeping. Three fixes: play and stop buttons freezing in the BPM menu, strobe values behaving incorrectly when adjusted, and arcs drawing offset in front of the notes.

Environments do not fit in a headline next to Kendrick Lamar. The store screenshots are worth a look anyway. The new stage is a suburban street after dark: a boombox the size of a house tipped over the left side of the road, speaker cabinets stacked down the right with heart shapes cut into the grilles, blue picket fencing along both verges, and a single white door frame standing in the middle of the lane with no wall attached to it.

A second store shot puts the same street under an orange wash, a car up on a lift platform, and a run of black spiked bombs strung across the lane.

Uncensored, with a switch

Beat Games shipped the pack without edits. "The Hip Hop Mixtape 2 is fully uncensored," the announcement reads, and it points players at the game's Explicit Lyrics Toggle to set their own preference. The trailer card and the pack art both carry an IARC 18+ badge in the corner.

What it costs you

Beat Saber is certified for Steam Frame. Valve's own filter returns 99 titles today, up from the 98 we counted in August. A new set of buyers is about to meet this catalog for the first time, and what they will find is a $19.99 game with a music library sold a song at a time on top of it.

For anyone already playing, the call is narrow. Eight songs at $10.96 works out to $1.37 a track against $1.99 bought singly, and the pack brings its own environment along with it. For anyone who wants two of these and not the other six, the singles are still the cheaper route. Everyone else is looking at a $10.96 add-on attached to a $19.99 game, which is the shape this catalog has had for years and which the August cut made a good deal easier to see.
