It lands as support for the last Windows Mixed Reality headsets runs out in November.

Meta's Connect 2026 keynote is Wednesday. A line-by-line check of the last three keynotes: five products with a price and a date all shipped on schedule, Augments is three years late, and the Ray-Ban Display expansion Meta promised four countries never happened.

Within hours of Valve's reservation emails, eBay sellers were asking $1,750 for a 256GB Steam Frame reservation and $2,000 or more for the 1TB. Valve's program terms say the right to buy cannot be transferred, and European buyers have a second scam to watch for once units ship.

Asgard's Wrath 2 came free with the Quest 3 in 2023 and Batman: Arkham Shadow with the Quest 3S in 2024. Meta has since closed Sanzaru and Twisted Pixel, Camouflaj no longer makes VR games, and the Connect 2026 agenda does not list a single Quest game.

Flat2VR Spark's port of Strange Scaffold's revenge shooter reached Steam on September 17 at $22.99. The no-reload gunplay made the jump to VR. The tree climbing and the story interludes did not, and without its rank gates the campaign runs under an hour.

Sony's US store lists PlayStation VR2 at $399 and "Currently Unavailable." Best Buy's only new units are Marketplace bundles from $855.20, Walmart shows pre-owned headsets, and Sony's UK store still sells it at £399.99. Sony has not said why.
