$2,899 is the first US dollar figure attached to Pico Space Pro, and Pico did not publish it. The number sits on a product page at Knoxlabs, a US reseller of XR hardware. The store's own product data dates the page to September 28. It has an Add to cart button.
A US Reseller Lists Pico Space Pro at $2,899 and Dates It February 2027

The listing covers one configuration: 16GB of memory and 256GB of storage, described as "PICO's new enterprise headset configuration." It gives a manufacturer SKU, X9SN01013H. It has no photo. A grey headset outline stands in for one, labelled as a preliminary listing whose final product may differ.
February, according to the page
A red notice at the top of the description says Space Pro "is expected to release during the first week of February 2027." Lower down, the page adds that "Knoxlabs expects initial inventory by mid-February." Orders placed now are taken as backorders.
Pico's own last word was the fourth quarter of 2026. It came on August 24, when the company cancelled its September 2 launch event in Beijing. In that notice, which Road to VR published in translation, Pico said it wanted more time. Pico has put no price and no region on the headset since.
Both dates can be true. Pico's Q4 was a launch window for an event booked in China. A US business unit that arrives after the new year does not contradict a December release in Beijing. It does mean an American buyer should stop treating Q4 as their date.
One page, three timelines
The listing does not agree with itself. Its body says February. A line under the Add to cart button says "Ships within 75-90 days," which from October 7 runs December 21 to January 5. And the description the store wrote for search engines still says: "Release is expected in early October 2026, with Knoxlabs inventory due mid-October."
That search description looks like the listing as first written. Internet Archive captures from October 2 and October 4 already carry the February notice, so the change came within four days of the page going up. Early October was the opening week of Pico's stated quarter. The first week of February is a month past its end.
$2,899 against Pico's own list

Pico's US presence is a business one. Its picoxr.com/us address redirects to the PICO Business site, and the pricing page there lists four configurations. The most expensive is the PICO 4 Ultra Enterprise with 16GB and 256GB, at $1,199. Space Pro is not on it.
The memory and storage match. The price is 2.4 times higher. Put in units a purchasing desk would recognize, $2,899 buys two of Pico's current US flagship with $501 left over. It is $800 under Apple Vision Pro at $3,699 and $1,100 over Samsung's Galaxy XR at $1,799.
Whether $2,899 is Pico's number or the reseller's is not stated. The store's other Pico prices offer a hint. Of the four configurations on Pico's list, Knoxlabs sells two at exactly Pico's MSRP and two above it, by $49 and by $56.65. It does not undercut Pico. If that pattern holds, Pico's list price for this configuration would be $2,899 or slightly under.
That would be an enterprise price. The listing's wording leaves room for other configurations and says nothing about a consumer model. VR.org's April read of the spec sheet put the price that would matter at $1,000 to $1,500. The first figure to surface is nearly double the top of that range.

What else is on the record
The US hardware trail is real. Two FCC grants dated September 1 cover the headset and its tethered compute unit, with Pico's US subsidiary named on the forms. A grant is a certification. It carries no price and no date.
On X, the $2,899 figure has circulated since at least October 2, when Chris Mizo (@MizoChris) posted it. No statement from Pico has followed. The SKU on the listing appears nowhere else VR.org could find.
One customer review is already attached to the page. It is five stars, dated October 1, and says in Chinese that the writer is looking forward to it.
If you are budgeting for one
Nothing on this page is a reason to place an order. A backorder taken today rests on a date the same listing states three ways, for a product the store cannot yet show a picture of.
A business that needs headsets this quarter has a $1,199 option on Pico's own price list. A business that wants Space Pro specifically now has a planning number and a planning month, and should hold both loosely until Pico publishes its own. VR.org's upcoming headsets page keeps Space Pro at Q4 2026 with no price, because that is all Pico has said.
